There are only a couple reasons you would ever go work out of an office when you can just stay home.

PRODUCTIVITY: Increase if working from home means distraction due to kids, pets, spouse, etc etc. Decrease by one for every 20 minutes spent commuting.

PLEASURE: Increase if office offers lunch, massages, etc. Decrease if being away from home makes you miss the comforts of home. If your PLEASURE gets too high, you may experience excessive LOYALTY, which can lead to negative side effects such as justifying less compensation over time, or staying at the company longer than you otherwise would.

POLITICS: Simply being seen by your boss will enhance your chances for promotion come promotion time. Ignore if your boss/team is remote/distributed.

SOCIALIZATION: Increase if going to the office means being around other people. Increase along with PLEASURE if your officemates organize outings, happy hours, board game night, etc. As a side effect, this can enhance PRODUCTIVITY if you are the type of human who gets more done simply by having other people around them who are also working.
