🥣 Apple Cinnamon Oats
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup steel-cut oats
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp plant-based milk
- 1/2 an apple
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Directions
- Chop up the apple into 1/2 inch pieces
- In a bowl, combine spices
- In a small pot, combine the oats and water
- Cook on medium until boiled (~7 minutes), constantly stirring
- Stir in the plant-based milk and cook for another minute or so
- Add the oats to the bowl and mix well
- Top with apples and sprinkle on a little more cinnamon
Suggested Alterations
This recipe is not very sweet. If you like things sweeter you could add 1 tsp of brown sugar to the bowl with the other spices.
