Web browsing privacy took a major hit, if not a death blow, in the US on 3 April 2017, with Trump signing the repeal of online privacy rules. I bet other countries, like Japan where I live, are sure to follow.

The big business interests in the US gov’t are bearing down on your privacy from many angles. Net neutrality is soon to follow. It’s naïve to think there’s no impact. Now your ISP can share your browsing history, without your opt-in. This has an impact on general info security as well.
