mein craft

joined the sparktown.xyz minecraft server after i saw it mentioned on forum.sickos.net. i have not played minecraft in a long time and just re-installed it. never played minecraft since i've switched to linux last year, but it works without issue on Fedora 44!

NOTE: the server seems to require minecraft version 26.1.2 right now (trying to connect with the newest version did not work), but it is easy to install different version with the official minecraft launcher, and i can just select the version i wanna play. UPDATE: the server runs on 26.2 as of 2026-08-03 now!

night of the living ded

spawned in some freakin ass swamp. i dug an emergency hole @ 63 / 69 / -122 and survived. it was dark without torches. feel free to use my hole.

then i set out to explore, found some wool to build a bed. i killed the sheep. and some cows. i guess this is not a vegetarian run.

found this weird as heck lava monument! whether it is human made or not, i do not know.

almost got killed by a creeper. rest in peace, creep.

expedition #1

set out to explore. start of expedition #1. went towards the east (i think) and found a mountain.

dug myself in, and survived.

2026-07-18 (Sat)

base building

i built a little mountain GOAT base there @ 180 / 96 / 0 and found iron and coal. on the top of the mountain, a weird frog, cows, and an armadillo. Feel free to expand this base!

i wanna find a mountain GOAT.

this is fun! i am a lonely explorer. it is scary being the only person in a big world, but maybe would be even scarier suddenly not being alone anymore. monsters and villagers scare me. abstract kinda feel. the world is a jungle & anything can happen.

i saw another player for the first time! that was kewl.

found some cool cherry blossom trees on a hill, visible from 587 69 -75, i wanna go there again.

found a scary looking cave entrance @ 490 65 -146, there was some mineshaft down there i think

right now, i am a lil lost. i'm resting @ 264 64 -175, which means i will have to go to the west to reach the start area again.

other than that: put some cows in a tiny cowpen. god i love animal welfare. but i got hungry and am still waiting for wheat to grow. and found lots of sheep and sheared them with my scissors i had made previously when i had iron.

i also re-visited my starting hole by accident. and made it a bit more homely. even has beds now, and like, torches. you can rest there and take some tools!

2026-07-28 (Tue)

so the plan was to return home from this wretched wild dangerous pretty place where i got lost one night. i needed to sleep, but i had no bed.

found and explored a cave at the temporary spot around 264 64 -175 and almost got blown up by a creeper.

also kinda got lost, but made my way out again. found coal, and some blue gemstone. i want to return to explore the rest.

also found an enderman. then i made it back to the first emergency hole and finally slept. also chatted with another player who joined! that was comfy.

good i made it back to the emergency hole again. it was surprisingly not far away at all. just going east. or west, i forgot. only the thick jungle vegetation made the itinerary a little scary. but i had my axe, and some food.

2026-08-03 (Mon)

woke up at the emergency hole. i found out one can place vines on doors by placing them on the ground block before it:

saw some cute signs. then walked towards the mountain GOAT base to find it completely destroyed. at first i was not sure if it actually was the same location because it was completely destroyed. but it is.

time to find a safer place sometime. glad a nearby shelter with a bed is still there, so i could sleep. i am hungry. farewell, GOAT mountain.

played some with bf while sitting in the same room irl :) pictures will follow. we mined a lot. found plenty diamonds. i died a few times lmao.

team mouse musekspedition #1 (we are mice).

we went caving in the cave i had mentioned earlier.

i died a few times. while he was mining, i connected the tmp expedition shelter to the cave.

we found lots of iron ore, gold, diamonds, coal, lapis lazuli, redstone etc. also found a mineshaft with spider spawners.

we stored all the valuable stuff in our inventories so it won't be griefed away this time. we will find a secret place sometime.

2026-08-04 (Tue)

the viking mouse expedition (musekspeditionen) woke up. we had all our valuable stuff in our inventories. nothing was griefed this time. he quickly returned to the caves we had plundered and explored to get some iron we had forgotten.

we embarked our boats, rowing into uncertainty

we soon realised we were in a lake, not the open sea. so we landed again.

we found horses and tamed them. we are the viking mousexpeditionary cavalry forces now.

we soon found a village and slept there. we wanted to establish our first base in its vicinity.

we rode our horses into the nearby hills. he took the lead, i followed. he rode onto some snow, and i followed. he started sinking into the snow, and so did i. both of us fell to our deaths into some cave that was hidden below the snow.

luckily we could recover our items in that cave, as it was not far from the village where we had slept. had quite a battle with monsters down there. we won, because we are vikings & mice & homosexual.

we found a good & pretty location.

we put all of our valuable stuff and our beds in a safe and hidden spot. you might destroy our base again, but you won't find our viking mouse crown diamonds.
