Happy New Year, me!

This is my first day on this beautiful town, and it's not quite the eventful story, but I'll narrate it anyways.

I was strolling around the Internet, as many people do on their day to day, and I think I might've been browsing one of those sites that are basically "This is the best motherfucking website", and are all about the simplicity of a few lines of HTML, and that you don't have to have a framework and a bajillion declarations to have a good looking site. Yeah, I was amused and a tad intrigued, but I mainly was looking for the CSS of one of them to use on a sample page because I thought the color scheme worked well. It was open source, so no harm no foul.

So, in my cursory search I found myself in the website of ~resir014 (https://resir014.xyz/), which had a great look for a portfolio/blog hybrid, or so I thought. So I browsed their projects, and came across this "tildetv" thingy which is meant to be a playlist of YouTube videos curated by the users of tilde.town, and that struck me as odd. And down the rabbit hole I went.

From then on, it's what y'all know. A computer we all agree to share, managed only with the command line, and that has its own services, like tcoin, and the ring, and all this other weird stuff I haven't gone around to check out yet. I'm super intrigued and psyched to explore what this little community has in store, and maybe create some weird applications for others to use as well!

Or just hang around in IRC. It's different from Discord, I'll tell you that much. :)
