on the wall of the chemistry classroom [May 25, 2017] Some people live recklessly in the moment. The feel invincible, entitled, and take their youth and life for granted. They ignore their roots and elders, throwing all sage advice to the wind. They fail to see their own self- indulgence before it's too late. * Others spend their lives planning to live. They stay on the straight & narrow, never taking risks or stopping to smell the roses. Paralyzed by fear of failure and fear of the unknown, they resist change whenever possible. They dedicate themselves to making impressions on others. Life, and all of its beautiful possibilities, quickly passes them by. * But then there are the exceptional ones... the ones that glow - and in so doing - cast light upon others. The ones who dare to define a balance between present and future, responsibility and risk, luck and labor. The ones who find self-awareness and self-love in every setback. The ones moving and growing, pausing and reflecting, and insisting on a life of passion & purpose. Their life plan is flexible, their journey a destination unto itself. It is they who will achive true immortality, which is really the power to take chances, make mistakes, and never feel like time is closing in on you.
