I had it as part of a single cartridge with the first included in, this is a net positive. The story isn't again, anything revolutionary, but it's good enough to complement the gameplay and that is were this game excels. Be it trying to min-max a build or use your own strategy to inflict massive damage on many enemies, it's all very fun, challenging enough, but not too hard, though if you want a challenge, you can have challenge runs, that's included. I have a save-file with the absolute highest difficulty and beaten the hardcore hidden dungeon in it... So believe me when I tell you, it has little replay value. From the second or third playthrough onward, it becomes very paint by numbers and the story isn't renewed either.
