Others have elaborated enough on  this and they are right on the terribleness of the singleplayer experience. What is shocking is that the DS has 2 games from the same franchise that are both great to play singleplayer, but somehow, this remaster is a lot worse than both of them. It was my occasion to test this game I had been frustrated out of when I was young and what a disappointment.

And to make matters worse, the couch co-op, my favourite and basically only kind of co-op, is crippled by the need for more hardware and more copies of the game. IDK where I got the idea that the demo could be used for the guests, but it's only valid in the very first dungeon... thrilling.
