It's a lot like Dungeon Crawler Carl. There is no denying that. The narrator does a similar voice. Dan is a vet. He's not the smartest nor dumbest guy out there, he's resourceful. He comes in dress in a ridiculous manner.

It's got a lot of similar elements to Dungeon Crawler Carl, but it's set in some weird backrooms. Instead of Aliens, it seems like it's run by a scientist, or some pharmaceutical company, and these guys are essentially lab rats to literally battle test treatments and whatnot. It's got all the combat and stats stuff of a dungeon crawler. I'd say it scratches the itch, so far, of the early few books of DCC.
