That's Neat

Well, three silly things. I half distro hopped today. I have a secondary SSD in my laptop left over from years ago. It became my distro hopping drive. I've been using Fedora 43, now into 44 for a while. It's the longest distro I've stayed with consistently as a daily driver. I had, and kept forgetting, EndeavourOS on that secondary drive. But today I decided to put Tuxedo on there because I just wanted something new.

I've used Tuxedo a few times, but always on an older laptop, with a shitty keyboard, but I've liked the distro, but being it was on a second, old laptop, I never really put a lot of time into using it. Well, it's making me question sticking with Fedora.

I've installed all the things I normally use, and I decided to poke around Discover, and what did I find? 'Eyedropper', which is as simple as it sounds. But I had been thinking about incorporating basically exactly that into a different work flow. So, that's neat.

Then I was poking around in the Developer section and under Web Development I found something that looks terribly childish called Playhouse. It's got an icon in primary red, yellow, and blue, making a little castle from what look like children's blocks. But wow. It's got an editor for HTML, CSS, and Javascript, a whole host of debugging tools, and a live preview. I don't know how I didn't know about this before. They should really get a better icon.

Anyway, there's that. I guess I can start trying out more PHP and Perl stuff without the hassle of worrying about having a server to test it with, or will the tilde allow it, or whatever.

That's neat!
