What's a good game that is:

Multiplayer
Strategy based
Not real time, probably turn based
(nice to have) long running

My friend and I have busy schedules now and we don't have time to spend 8 hours a day on a Runescape server as we did in decades past. I tried getting in to Pokemon Go, but never got fully immersed for whatever reason.

Looking for a multiplayer game that can be "grazed" upon with friends, essentially.

Anyone got any recommendations?
