hi there... today i made some actual progress on my own programming language compiler! it's now able to parse variable declarations and definitions, it's the first thing that i worked on after the lexer.
the language is transpiled to c and compiled from there, so i don't have to worry about generating assembly code...
the whole thing is mostly to prove to myself that i'm capable of doing stuff like this, because all of my previous projects aren't really all that impressive -- not that i make these things just to impress others. the only other actually interesting codebase i have is that cli tool that i made to help with my notes management system... everything else exists either in my mind or as a concept.
