Welp, ACT scores came this morning. I got a 34 again, and, from looking at the detailed view, I did bad (relatively) on the same parts I did the last test. At the very least, that gives me certainty on what to do next. There are two other test sessions before summer, one in February and one in March.
Oh, and Happy New Year by the way. We went to the Walmart today and I got about $80 worth of stationery to glow up my room and working environment. Doesn't look so bad after a quick clean-up. New year new me, I suppose.
I like this cheap new analog clock I got. I was told that it makes you way more productive than with an ordinary digital clock, and while it's too recent to measure any productivity. I do feel much more aware of how much time I've been spending at my desk; for instance, I think I remember it being around four o'clock when I sat down first, and now after dinner, it's... yikes, already a good bit through eight o'clock! The hour hand is almost getting to nine! I may not necessarily be quick at reading the clock, but by God will I know how much time I've wasted.
I've kind of been procrastinating on finishing my grander piece for the next competition. It's actually done--I think I got it done maybe around Christmas--but I wrote it in such a way that I have to split it int two parts manually, which is not done so far. Plus I rushed the last movement a bit so I might have to add some dynamics and such.
You know what I've been distracted with instead? Gemini--no, not the Google Gemini, the internet protocol Gemini, the good Gemini. Yes, I'm on Gemini now, I got curious about it, I downloaded Lagrange, I kinda like it, so here I am. And in fact, I'm hosting some of my longform text-based content there that I don't have hosted here on the web yet. I'd like to put that stuff on the web but the deal is, now that I have it in Gemini, Gemini barely has any formatting except headings and blockquotes, no bold or italic, so I would have to add all of that manually.

By the way I got a postcard from that California hippie guy. He says he's super sorry for not writing me. Andre, if you're reading this, dear God don't feel guilty, the postcard actually amused me, also I like whatever pen you wrote it with lol
Now I wish there was some way for me to know who's reading this... um... well at the very least, write to my guestbook if you're a townie since while it isn't sparse anymore, the more the merrier.
That's all. Happy 2026.
