20 october 2025

Decided to work from home today, on account of the weather- and the roomie being out of the house for a rare work on-site day, so I don't have to deal with the crosstalk channels or huddling awkwardly at the same cubicle while Zoom calls are being taken.

Have still decided to put on somewhat 'productive' clothing, to stage being in a different frame of context while working- it's a bit goofy, but I do find it useful for maintaining a work-life separation.

Updated my bullet journal. Got some light admin tasks done this morning. Going to briefly tuck into some personal ones, and then set about grinding away at an essay. Still feeling a bit under the weather, and the rains don't help. It'll be alright.

Update: Finished up that report. Pretty productive block of hours. Very tired, but did the grunt work of setting up the good copy and references to use for the next mini paper, though I'm too exhausted to concretely hammer that out without another mortifying typo I barely caught in the nick of time, with one of the citation dates being 2001 instead of 2011.

Probably going to cool down with setting up November's bullet journal spreads, now that I know about how much space I need to leave for weekly reporting with mini daily logs, and I can always flip over to the back if need be to grab more working room.

Still need to work on the RAWR thing. And input my Polaris meeting dates into my bullet journal.

Update: Cannot stop laughing at a stupid The Long Dark comment on a picture of field dressing a rabbit by hand- that swinging it such that the guts fell all over your back and butt wouldn't be Carcass Harvesting Lvl 5, it'd be Carcass Harvesting Lvl 1.

Also filled out my bujo spreads all the way through to December, where my schedule becomes much more uncertain, so I haven't done much more than set up my monthly calendar and habit tracker stickers that were the handiest thing I ever got around to making.

Wrote some cute scenes with P. Almost chipped my teeth on bone fragments. Stewed meat will get you, man.

Tried a nibble of a thin mint. Didn't enjoy it. But we do have chocolate chip chunk cookies in the house, yippee. And a yummy flavour of Cliff bar to chuck into my lunch bag tomorrow.

Going to go onto campus. Need to pick up some vitamins, (Iron, B12, K) and also refill my bus pass, which is just easier to do while out and about.
