{~} poetics
poetics are a system of values elaborated by various people, artists and theorists, applied to artistic and poetic composition. each person has their own poetics, which is in continuous evolution. elaborating a poetics both constrains the artistic liberty (that is, the realm of possibly "legitimate" or "valuable" or "worthy" texts), as is the case in any value system, and allows the poet to define what is most worth talking about, and means to talk about it. a poetics that values experimentation, contemporary media and involvement in worldly matters will compel the composer to use more liminal techniques, experimental ways of building narrative, etc.
