The Tilde Town Free Jazz Band has started playing!

The order of players is:

1. ~malvarma – drums
2. ~flowercorpse – prepared guitar
3. ~jahnertz – alto sax
4. ~agafnd – piano
5. ~kognise – cello/electronics/piano/voice
6. ~vilmibm – guitar/bass/electronics
7. ~dozens – spoons/kneeslaps/beeps/boops
8. ~bx – melodica

Here is some info on how to go about performing:

• Play the track you recieved and improvise while listening to it.
• Your improviation must be the exact same length as the person's before you, so that the tracks can be synced. (This means that if, for example, you want to start playing only two minutes in, you should include the first two minutes of silence as well, et cetera.)
• After you've recorded the improvisation, you can now listen back to the two tracks together, see how you like it, do some other takes if you feel inclined.
• Once you've decided your track is good to go, send it to the person next in line in any way you prefer. Remember to only send your track, without the previous one. You should also send the track to ~malvarma, who will collect and mix the tracks. Thanks ~malvarma ♥
• You have two weeks to record and send your improvisation to the next participant, counted from the time you recieved the track from the previous person.

Some tips for improvising

• Don't try to get it perfect, improvisations should be somewhat spontaneous
• Remember, it is an improvisation, so no overdubs!
• Try focusing on texture rather than melody
• Leave space for other people ♥
