T: ow, ow, ow, hey what are you doing?
R: I'm interrogating this part, trying to figure out what it's deal is
T: well, it's attached to me, so it hurts when you tug on it
R: yeah, it's one of the parts whose fear is it'll wind up alone. Specifically: don't be too weird or we'll wind up alone
K: yeah, and that's diametrically opposed to a lot of parts attached to me, that are all like, "be goofy"
T: yeah? and why, why do they say that?
K: oh, erm, ..., because if we are funny then people won't notice our shortcomings, and if they notice our shortcommings then they won't like us
T: --and then we'll wind up alone.
K: ow, now this is hurting me
R: no pain, no gain in this instance I'm afraid. We gotta find out what makes these guys tick if we ever want to find out how to make them all work together in harmony
T: ok, but maybe give me some warning next time
K: ooh, and practise some self-care, so we don't burn out
R: right, back to work, but I'll get us out of there on time so we can have some self-care time
