I finally switched my OS from bazzite to CachyOS. I've heard CachyOS has some meme-y rep, partly because it's based off of Arch Linux, partly because people got a bit fanatical about it? And partly because it's high up there as a performant OS. But where's the fun in listening to the masses when I can find out for myself? So I'm using it now.
My browser did crash and kicked me out of my login session twice last night. I thought maybe the kernel I'm using is too new, but the browser crashed anyway. I remember that TPM had interfered with bazzite restarting properly. I'm testing to see if taking that off helps with the stability of the OS. Maybe it has a good reason to exist and be on, but it just seems like it's there to cause more headaches than its worth.
We will see. I'm really hoping it won't crash again, but I've got my computer running the same programs that was running the last two times the browser crashed (and the subsequent kick to login).
