Townfort is a collection of scripts enabling town to collaboratively care for a fledgeling Dwarven fortress.
The fortress is deactivated for now. Contact me if you'd like to re-activate it.
Technically, it's a wrapper for a shared tmux session
that attaches via SSH to a designated account on my home computer,
which runs the game on the town's behalf (to reduce resource usage.)
Vernacularly, it's a town-ified twist on the traditional
"succession game".
Pretentiously, it's an opportunity for collaborative story-telling
and an empathic exercise.
Simply, it's fun and social.

Each "playing" user has their own independent pane selection, so e.g. one player can play while another writes notes or asks questions.
Dwarf Fortess is a hard game.
Don't worry if things go wrong!
So long as our story is recorded, we haven't really lost,
and we can learn from our previous mistakes.
Refer to #townfort or
the wiki
for help (remember we are playing version 0.47.05!).
Don't forget to pause the game with space and save the game from the
pause menu (escape) after critical moments.
