i went to catch up with a friend who lives in garren creek yesterday
we hadn't seen each other since helene. she and all her closest people are fine, but the general destruction out there was very bad. up the holler from her a lot of people died
i'm really glad she'd ok. it started a few days ago i think but i am definitely having a bout of overwhelm and sad feelings about helene
i'm gonna go to the arboretum with my partner today. hopefully i'll also take a nice bath
it's a low-computer time, things are hard
