Year 2000 Compliance
American Manufacturing Inc. has reviewed its products
and company systems (both internal and external) and is pleased announce the following:
All AMI products ever placed on the market perform
no date related processing (NDRP), are not affected by the Year 2000 issue, and are
therefore Year 2000 Compliant.
All internal and external operation systems (both
hardware and software) for American AMI Products, Inc. which perform date related
processing have been identified and tested for Year 2000 Compliance. Tests conducted
include, but are not limited to:
- System rollover from December 31, 1998 to January 1,
1999 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- Program rollover from December 31, 1998 to January 1,
1999 in both processing and idle states;
- System rollover from September 9, 1999 to September
10, 1999 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- System date configuration acceptance for prior date;
- System re-initializes from cold start on prior date;
- Program rollover from September 9, 1999 to September
10, 1999 in both processing and idle states;
- Program retrieval/acceptance of prior date in
processing state;
- Program re-initializes from idle state on prior date;
- System rollover from December 31, 1999 to January 1,
2000 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- System date configuration acceptance of both prior
and after dates;
- System re-initializes from cold start on both prior
and after dates;
- Program rollover from December 31, 1999 to January 1,
2000 in both processing and idle states;
- Program retrieval/acceptance of both prior and after
dates in processing state;
- Program re-initializes from idle state on both prior
and after dates;
- System rollover from February 28, 2000 to February
29, 2000 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- System date configuration acceptance of after date;
- System re-initializes from cold start on after date;
- Program rollover from February 28, 2000 to February
29, 2000 in both processing and idle states;
- Program retrieval/acceptance of after date in
processing state;
- Program re-initializes from idle state on after date;
- System rollover from February 29, 2000 to March 1,
2000 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- Program rollover from February 29, 2000 to March 1,
2000 in both processing and idle states;
- System rollover from December 31, 2000 to January 1,
2001 in both powered-up and powered-down states;
- Program rollover from December 31, 2000 to January 1,
2001 in both processing and idle states
Of those systems tested, all have been found to be
Year 2000 Compliant except for:
- Those external operation systems (hardware) which
perform date related processing and have neither direct nor indirect affects on the
abilities of American Manufacturing Manufacturing Inc. to continue to provide accurate and
uninterrupted service beyond the year 2000 -AND- will be beyond
their normal useful service life prior to January 1, 2000 which will constitute
replacement with hardware which is Year 2000 Compliant in accordance with the above test
criteria.
American Manufacturing Inc. encourages its customers
and other business associates to be fully aware of the potential impact the Year 2000
could have on their operations. American Manufacturing Inc. has made every effort
to ensure the effectiveness of the above test criteria and will continue to update its
systems as needed to maintain Year 2000 Compliance. Should the factory design of any
AMI product be altered, American Manufacturing Inc. cannot ensure the Year 2000
Compliance of the product.
